Using Your Media
Best practices for using your photos and videos
Understanding Your Media Categories
Your media is organized into categories to help you use the right images for each platform:
MLS Ready - High-resolution photos optimized for MLS uploads
Social Feed - Square and 4:5 ratio images for Instagram and Facebook
Social Stories - 9:16 vertical images for Stories and Reels
Print - Extra high-resolution for flyers and postcards
Video - Property walkthrough and highlight videos
MLS Best Practices
When uploading to MLS:
- Lead with your best exterior shot
- Follow with living areas (living room, kitchen, dining)
- Show bedrooms in order of size
- Include all bathrooms
- End with additional exterior and aerials
Most MLSs limit to 25-50 photos. Choose quality over quantity.
Social Media Strategy
Instagram Feed:
- Use the best 3-6 photos for a carousel post
- Lead with the hero shot
- Mix interior and exterior
Stories/Reels:
- Use vertical format photos
- Add text overlays for key features
- Include a call-to-action
Facebook:
- Create a photo album with all images
- Pin listing posts to your page
- Share the lifestyle page link
Video Tips
Your listing video can be used for:
- - YouTube uploads
- - Instagram Reels (first 90 seconds)
- - Facebook video posts
- - Zillow 3D Home tour
- - Email marketing
- - Virtual showings
Always include your branding overlay when sharing.
Print Materials
Use Print category images for:
- - Property flyers
- - Postcards
- - Magazine ads
- - Billboard designs
- - Window displays
These are exported at the highest resolution for crisp printing.
Sharing the Lifestyle Page
Your listing's lifestyle page is designed for buyers. Share the link:
- - In your MLS public remarks
- - On property websites
- - In email signatures
- - Via text to interested buyers
- - On social media bios
The page includes neighborhood info that helps buyers fall in love with the location, not just the property.
